Me, You and Dia&Co

If you've been reading my blog you must know I'm having a love affair with Dia&Co! A company that sends me a personalized box of clothing that will fit me and I get to try on and style in my own home, SIGN ME UP. The first box is $20, amazing. I've gotten multiple boxes and I've loved every one. I think it's an amazing way to introduce yourself to new brands you might not have tried before. I really love it because your personal stylist (my girl Devon Marie hooks me up!) usually picks out things you wouldn't have chosen for yourself. For $20 you get your first box, go ahead and try it! Sizing starts at size 14, anything you don't want you send back and the shipping is paid for. It's a win, win, WIN situation haha
This blood orange dress is another dress of my dreams from Dia. It's the perfect transition dress. I feel like I'm going to a 1940's garden party and I'm living for that! If ya'll try Dia&Co let me know, tag me in pictures, I would love to see! ++

I really love to push myself outside of my comfort zone when it comes to fashion. Who would have ever thought I would wear a nude bodysuit?! When Fashion Nova hit me up, I knew I had to switch it up. This nude bodysuit called my name haha. Fashion Nova is stepping up and starting to push their curve line! I'm SO down with it.

If y'all want to try it out use my code: BWORDXO for 15% off!

FTF Denim

Back to School time already?! I've been working all summer, time FLEW past me. Even though I haven't been in school for years, this time of the year always gets me excited. New clothes, a new backpack, a new season, it's a time of renewal! I've been cleaning closets and mending fences! Cleaning my closet means one thing and I hope you all are hyped for my CLOSET SALE!! That's going to go down in October and I can't wait. Things are going to be very inexpensive and a lot has only been worn once or sent to me, so deals, STEALS and all of that. Stay tuned!

One thing I won't be selling are these Fashion to Figure jeans. I'm completely, utterly in love with the fit. These jeans have long inseams and I'm so happy FTF sent me a pair to try on because I'm a believer now. They're long enough for my 34" inseam, no camel toe, no gap in the back and enough stretch for my hips and booty. I'm going to link them below. Best fitting pair of jeans I've ever found for $38.90!!

Rose Gold

Let me tell you, Rose Gold err'thing! I'm obsessed and Rose Gold is my favorite trend right now. From my shoes, my current nails, my phone case, and e) all of the above, I'm so into it haha.

I love this draped dress from Boohoo, it's so comfy and can be dressed up or down, club or dinner. It's a grab and go situation and I love, LOVE clothes like that. Clothes that you know will always look cute, if they've been shoved in a suitcase or picked out last minute.
I get a lot of questions about shape wear and inner thigh chaffing. I like to kill "two birds with one stone" so to speak. When my dresses or skirts are long enough, I almost always wear a pair of shorts underneath. I like the coverage, because wind is a thing haha, and I had my legs rubbing together. I can wear shape wear that are shorts or I just wear a pair of spandex like these from Thigh Society!

I'm so happy to get back to blogging, it's been a crazy month because of my theatrical production! Hope everyone is feeling good and can't wait to kick off the #BEinyourskin Challenge September 1st ++

So aside from blogging, I'm extremely passionate about musical theatre. I run my own theatrical production company, where I direct and produce musical theatre. I love creating on my own terms and being my own boss. This is something I love about blogging too. Our largest production yet opened last week and I'm so proud it came together. It was a LOT of sleepless nights and a lot of hard work but it got me thinking in a different way. It made feel like I could legitimately do anything with my life. With passion, courage and hard ass work, I truly believe you can do anything.
I have so many avenues I want to go down career wise and some days I get overwhelmed with "hows". How am I going to do it? How am I going to make it work?? I've come to the conclusion, fuck the how, start and it will become something. You need to have a vision and just start moving your feet. So many people have the vision but their baggage holds them back, they get caught up in how, rather than trusting. You can't have a vision and sit at home, it won't come. The hard work is so worth it. Your life is up to you, make it something you want. Follow your passion without questioning if it's realistic ++

Glass Ceilings

Girls, secure your bag *DJ Khaled voice*
It's mad important to me to support woman in business because it's historically difficult to be a bossed up, independent, powerful woman. I'm so proud of being a boss. Women work harder for the same respect as men and we're still paid less, called bitches and not seen in the same way a male would be. I will continue to fight to change that and shatter any glass ceilings. Women can be sexy, dope, creative, and bossed up. We don't have to be one or the other. We can have it all, I refuse to believe otherwise.
Let's go get that coin ladies ++

#BEinyourskin Bikini Lookbook 2016

My favorite time of year, swimsuit season!! Growing up chubby, who would have ever thought I would say that?! That's why last year putting together my first bikini lookbook and actually putting on a bikini for the first time in my adult life was so important. From the reaction I got from blog followers, friends, family and how I felt after exposing myself in that way, I knew I had to continue and make it a yearly tradition.
This year we put together a behind the scenes, video lookbook for you all! I listen to what you guys want! I swear haha, I hope you all enjoy it (: Video was shot by Julia Haimowitz and edited by Danny Guerrero

This year putting together looks I was really inspired by Sophia Loren and the Amalfi Coast. I wanted to create a vintage summer look that paid tribute to my Italian heritage. One of the most beautiful woman I know is my grandma, she has always inspired me and spending time with her this summer is something I will always cherish. Love you Gams!

I grew up big, I was always bigger, it's just what it was. I loved, LOVED swimming but became very self conscious and plus size bathing suit options were zero to none, big tshirts it was for young Brianna. I get so emotional now thinking back to those times because I would have never known that people would celebrate and pay to see me and my body in a bikini. The things that make you different are the things that will help you stand out and ultimately be successful. Like I said I was always bigger and taller than my friends, so I felt weird in my body for a long time but those are two of my favorite physical features about myself now. I will always stand out in a room because of my size and height, that's something I have embraced and love now. It's so hard to understand that when you're young but it's so true and that's part of the beauty of aging. I'm so passionate about helping other women and young girls find that within themselves. Body confidence and self esteem is something I work towards everyday but it gets easier and the journey is so worth it. I always felt like maybe people were judging me by the pool but let me tell you, no one cares as much as you do. Please look at yourself in the mirror today and tell yourself you are enough, really say it out loud, it's a powerful feeling! This is our time to embrace our bodies now and enjoy our summer. If enjoying your summer means putting on a bikini, get your life! If enjoying your summer means wearing a rash guard and shorts, get your life! The beauty is it's up to you to decide, there is no wrong way to #BEinyourskin ++
